From August 14 to 15, the 2019 Equipment Competition of the Guangdong Provincial Fire Rescue Team was held at the Team Training Base. A total of 440 contestants from 22 detachment-level participating teams across the province competed in the equipment competition.
The equipment competition was divided into two modules: theory and skills. The theoretical competition mainly assessed the basics of equipment management, while the skills competition covered driver operation and use, equipment technician maintenance, and combatant operation and use. A total of 12 skills competition items were set up, including accurate water jet operation of aerial ladder fire trucks, cutting and expanding operation of hydraulic rescue tool sets, and emergency fault handling of fire trucks. Each item was a comprehensive test of the fire fighters' proficiency in equipment and practical combat skills, with strong pertinence and practicality.
After fierce competition, the JIANGMEN Fire Detachment stood out in the practical operation competition of the comprehensive firefighter positioning device and won the second place.
The comprehensive firefighter positioning system used by the JAIGNMEN Detachment this time was developed by ZHEGNZE Technology. Based on inertial navigation technology, it is developed by combining kinematics, dead reckoning technology and wireless networking technology. It has functions such as motion posture recognition (static, walking, running, going up and down stairs, lying down, etc.), real-time display of 3D motion trajectory, 3D trajectory playback, and high-temperature abnormal alarm. It better assists on-site commanders in determining the position of rescuers and makes on-site personnel dispatch more scientific.
